Dr. Moffett has been very active in university service, even in the relatively short time he has been at KSU. He became involved in university service right away, and has quickly taken on leadership roles. He served as Chair of the English Major Committee and currently serves as the Composition Committee Chair. He is also a faculty senator where he serves as Faculty Senate Secretary and Chair of the Academic Policies Committee. He is an asset to KSU in both his willingness to serve and the skill and diplomacy with which he takes on leadership.

Dr. Moffett is a warm, engaging, dedicated and affable person. He excels in all areas of his working life at KSU: teaching, scholarship, and service, and does so with humor and a good nature. He is willing to take on tough tasks and always delivers. He is willing and able to teach a wide variety of courses in the division, and is willing to take on additional projects and initiatives. The Division of LLP and KSU as a whole are very fortunate to have Dr. Moffett. I give Joe Moffett my highest recommendation that he should be granted tenure.
