The Office of Student Affairs is collaborating with academic units across the campus for recruitment, retention, and holistic programming projects. The most recent collaboration is with the College of Agriculture, Food Science and Sustainable Systems (CAFSSS). Faculty from CAFSSS have formed teaching partnerships within schools in our service area. Staff from Admissions accompanies the CAFSSS on school visits. Student Affairs will be hosting the students for lunch and a campus tour in the spring.
The Office of Student Affairs has undertaken two campaigns to improve customer service and student engagement. They are, “Student Life Support” and the “How’d I Do?” campaigns. The “Student Life Support” campaign encourages students to participate in planning Student Life programming. The “How’d I Do? Campaign” campaign encourages students to complete an online survey that rates customer service on campus. Increased student engagement and participation are the desired end result of involving students in the planning process for programming. The chosen student events will be featured on the weekly “Spirit Day”.
Students are also encouraged to complete online surveys to share their customer service experiences across campus, both good and bad. The “How’d I Do” campaign awards one participant monthly for completing an online survey. Data from this survey will guide future service delivery as well as increase efficiency.
