Faculty diversity in the classroom is not reflective of the diversity among students. Fifty-seven percent of the 148 faculty members reported in the 2014 IPEDS report were white non-Hispanic. There were only 32 blacks representing 22% of the faculty members during this period. This imbalance signals a significant need for more diversity among faculty.
