Data based on enrollment as of March 27, 2015.
The faculty population by racial diversity is predominately white non-Hispanic and represents approximately 50% of the total faculty. As noted earlier, the data shows that 50% of the student body has identified as black non-Hispanic and 31% has identified as white-non-Hispanic. Based on the difference in the race and ethnicity compositions between the KSU student body and the faculty, it is clear that going forward, KSU must be cognizant of closing the differences in the respective compositions. Likewise, the institution needs to give greater attention to increasing diversity among its faculty and students in attracting other racial and ethnic groups.
