Twitter provides details about impressions, which is “the number of times users saw the Tweet on Twitter” as well as an Engagement number for each Tweet. Engagement is “total number of times a user has interacted with a Tweet. This includes all clicks anywhere on the Tweet, retweets, replies, follows and favorites.” Tweets from January through March earned more than 57,400 impressions.
There are also web tools that we use to review the number of people who click on certain links in social media posts. We have used Bitly, an online service to shorten links that also tracks the number of people who click on a link posted on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Paid social media monitoring services exist, but we do not currently use any paid software.
