Information Item(s) President Brown provided an update on Spring 2020 Enrollment Data. He reported that the fall to spring persistence rate is at seventy-six percent. The overall retention and graduation is increasing but there are some students who are not receiving services, an issue that needs to be addressed.
President Brown introduced the Quarterly Budget Update by reporting that KSU is 16,000 over budget and, as such, the Vice Presidents have agreed to cut their unit budgets. EVP Allen stated that as of December 31st, KSU's budget was favorable and that the necessary strides are being made to address the current budget situation. President Brown indicated that KHEAA dollars have not yet been received this year so revenues should increase once those monies are received. Regent Harnice and Regent Jantzen expressed caution about previous budget shortfalls occurring again and EVP Allen assured the Board that he monitors the budget on a monthly basis.
EVP Allen presented an update on capital projects. Regent Barfield inquired about funding for capital projects and EVP Allen responded that funding is mixture of state, federal, and agency funds.
