V. Approval of Minutes

MOTION by Regent Harnice:

Move to approve the Minutes of the June 6, 2019 Quarterly Meeting of the Board of Regents and the Minutes of the June 27, 2019 Special Meeting of the Board of Regents. Seconded by Regent Banks and passed without dissent.

VI. Statutory Board Actions

• A.A. Ms. Kierra Donald, Ms. Chandee Felder, Dr. Melanie House-Mansfield, and Dr. Joe Moffett were sworn in as a members of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents.

B. Election of 2019-2020 Board Officers

MOTION by Regent Reynolds:

Move the Board to continue the existing officers for the new calendar year: Dr. Elaine Farris, Board Chair; Mr. Dalton Jantzen, Vice-Chair; President Brown, Board Secretary; and EVP Douglas Allen, Treasurer.

Seconded by Regent Harnice and passed without dissent.

C. Signing of Annual Legal Documents

Each Regent signed the annual legal documents, specifically the Kentucky State University Board of Regents Conflict of Interest Certification and Disclosure of Conflict of Interest, the Kentucky State University Board of Regents Confidentiality Agreement, and the Office of Attorney General's Proof of Receipt of “Your Duty Under Law” and “Managing Government Records.”

VII. Bred of the Quarter Recognition

President Brown presented the nominees for Bred of the Quarter Recognition. Lee Williams was named the June Thorobred of the Month, John Hargrave was named the July Thorobred of the Month, and Tanya Carr was named the August Thorobred of the Month.

VIII. Campus Stakeholder Presentations

Dr. Helen Smith presented the Faculty Senate Updates; Regent Kierra Donald presented the Student Government Updates; Ms. Jasmin Thurman presented the Staff Senate updates.

IX. President's Quarterly Report

President Brown presented his quarterly report.
