This graph represents all courses for all students at the current date.
Grades of A, B, C, and P (pass) account for 66.53% of all possible grades.
Grades of D, F, and W account for 25.6% of all possible grades.
The category NA represents students who faculty determine have never attended the course but are still on the roster at midterm.
The category Blank represents those students who received no grade in a class.
The category Other represents other grades such as I, IP, N, X, etc., which do not represent an authorized grade for KSU courses per the course catalogue.
Students in these three ‘yellow’ categories will be moved into another category or be removed from the roster as verification is completed and as final grades are posted.
Next Steps
The Academic Affairs team continues to work with Student Affairs, University College and all Deans and Chairs to identify and refer students in the ‘red’ categories to the Thorobred Learning Center (TLC) for additional work and tutoring.
TLC is providing additional seminars related to finishing strong, study strategies for finals, etc.
Deans and Chairs are looking for bottleneck courses that may hinder student success and developing plans for assisting students in those courses.
Our goal is to move at all of the students in the current D category and as many students in the F category as possible to the ABC category by end of semester. This goal would put us at the same or lower DFW rate as Spring 2019.
