KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY BOARD OF REGENTS
Approval to Transition to Ellucian Banner Payroll and Human Resources (HR) System.
Since July 2018, Kentucky State University has been using a system other than Banner to process payroll and HR. To reduce costs and have an integrated system, KSU is requesting to move its payroll and human resources (HR) systems back to Ellucian Banner.
The project includes:
| Product | Quantity | Net Unit Price | Total Sales Price |
|---|
| Banner Human Resources Budget Development with Salary Planner | 110.00 | USD 205.00 | USD 22,550.00 |
| Banner Human Resources Effort Reporting | 92.00 | USD 205.00 | USD 18,860.00 |
| Human Resources Consulting | 1,216.00 | USD 205.00 | USD 249,280.00 |
| PM Project Management | 369.00 | USD 205.00 | USD 75,645.00 |
| Total Fee |
The cost does not include an applicant tracking system for new hires. The HR team is currently reviewing options.
This project is objective 5.7.1 of the Management Improvement Plan.
The cost to move payroll and HR back to Ellucian Banner is $366,335.00 (one-time cost), plus the cost to implement an applicant tracker, which is estimated to not exceed $172,084 (annual license cost). $350,000 of this cost will be funded by the CPE incentive; the remaining will be funded by Title III.
KSU paid $231,349.38 in FY 23 for the current payroll system.
President Akakpo recommends that the Board of Regents approve the transition to Ellucian Banner Payroll and HR system.
