Approval of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Renovations.
The University has an overwhelming amount of failing infrastructure in the form of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. When these failures occur, they cause a major disruption to the learning environment of the students, as well as the general comfort of the faculty, staff, and students. We are working to identify the weak systems so they can be replaced prior to the point of failure. This process will prevent the disruptions that occur when systems fail without notice.
The project total is $500,000, which will be funded using $434,782.61 in state bond-funded asset preservation funds and $65,217.39 from the University's matching funds, which have been budgeted for.
