I. Call To Order

The Committee’s Chair, Regent Herman Walston, EdD, called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m.

II. Roll Call

The Board's Secretary, Zachary Atwell, called the roll:

Regent Herman Walston, Chair Present Regent Charles Moyer, Co-Chair Present Regent Ernie Fletcher Not Present Regent Savion Briggs Present

Three (3) Regents were in attendance and present at roll call. A quorum was therefore established.

III. Approval of the Agenda

MOTION by Regent Moyer:

Move the Committee to approve the agenda of the April 3, 2024, regular meeting of the Academic Affairs Committee.

Seconded by Regent Briggs and passed without dissent.

IV. Information Items

All information items were presented by Dr. Michael Dailey, Interim Provost, and Dr. Scott Wicker, Interim Vice Provost.

A. Update Regarding Student Performance

Dr. Wicker provided a comparison between Spring 2024 and Spring 2023 midterm grades as well as a student academic performance analysis spanning 2019–2023. He also identified departmental DFW rates from 2019–2023 and discussed DFW rate-related issues.
