Next, Chair Dukes called for a motion to approve the minutes from the previous Board and Committee Meetings identified above.
Move the Board to approve the minutes from previous Board and Committee meetings.
Seconded by Regent Hatchett and passed without dissent.
This agenda item was tabled as Dr. Shannon Brogan, Acting Faculty Senate President, was unable to attend due to teaching commitments.
Mr. Delandual Conwell, Staff Senate President, presented this agenda item. Mr. Conwell identified several new staff members and reported the status of the upcoming Staff Senate cookbook. The review of the Staff Senate bylaws is nearly complete, and work continues on the Staff Senate website updates.
Hearing no questions, Chair Dukes thanked Mr. Conwell for his presentation.
The SGA report was presented by Regent Savion Briggs, who began by thanking everyone who had assisted the SGA board as they continue to strive for success. Regent Briggs noted that the SGA constitution has been updated and discussed upcoming changes to the SGA advisory system. The SGA office has moved, and Regent Briggs requested additional updates to their space and equipment to ensure that the SGA can function as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Chair Dukes inquired whether the SGA advisors would have access to the system that manages the student wraparound services.
Regent Walston asked whether the SGA advisory system was connected in any manner to Dr. Mayberry.
Chair Dukes explained that prior to the meeting, the Board had been provided with a list of all department and college updates and accomplishments occurring over the past year. She requested that any questions regarding those items be posed directly to the appropriate department or college.
