I. Call To Order
The Committee’s Chair, Regent Edward Fields, called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
II. Roll Call
The Board's Secretary, Zachary Atwell, called the roll:

Two (2) Regents were in attendance and present at roll call. A quorum was therefore not established. Attorney Atwell advised the Committee that it may proceed with information items but could not recommend any action to the Board until a quorum was established. Chair Fields chose to proceed and address only the information items.
The Board's Chair, Regent Tammi Dukes, also was present.
Due to the absence of a quorum, any business transacted must be considered null and void. Therefore, the information items were informally discussed and are not to be considered an official record. However, despite the absence of a quorum, the meeting was held and convened for record-keeping purposes.
III. Information Items
All information items were presented by Dr. Stephanie Mayberry, Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
A. Update on New Staff in Financial Aid
Dr. Mayberry reported that an interim Financial Aid Director has been hired and efforts are underway to hire a permanent Director, as the former Director has now resigned. Two full-time financial aid counselors have also been hired, and Blue Icon Advisors continues to provide support. Eight (8) student work-study interns have been placed in the financial aid office to assist with the phones. Aid disbursement is scheduled for February 12, 2024.
