Lisa Turney called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.

Mr. Frye requested the Authority approve the regular meeting minutes from May 5, 2026. Upon motion by Mr. Zimmerman, seconded by Ms. Turney, the Authority unanimously voted to approve May 5, 2026, regular meeting minutes.

Mr. Frye provided a financial update and reviewed the revenues and expenditures through the month of July 2026.

Mr. Frye provided updates regarding the America 250 NC Grant. Mr. Frye advised that he was informed that the signage/marker (Samual Freeman) has been approved.

Mr. Frye discussed the Music at the Market Concert Series. There have been reports of large turnouts and good attendance. The newly installed P.A. sound system is working out well. Attendees for the 5th season of Music at the Market included approximately 200-300 patrons per concert representing both Surry County residents and visitors to the area.
