The Kentucky State University Center for Interdisciplinary Intelligence, Security, and Justice Studies will be committed to facilitating research and stimulating education in justice and security studies, broadly defined. Issues of justice, intelligence, and security in today's societies arise in a wide number of disciplines, including virtually all the social sciences and many biomedical sciences, physical sciences, engineering, and humanities. These issues are best understood from an interdisciplinary perspective recognizing the complex nature of contextualized human behavior, the reciprocal relationships between people and society, and the importance of historical context in understanding our pasts and negotiating our futures.
