Whereas, Kentucky State University engaged the Benefactor Group, a nationally recognized philanthropic consulting firm, to conduct a Philanthropy Review of the University's advancement and fundraising efforts; and
Whereas, the review identified opportunities to strengthen philanthropic operations, enhance alumni and donor engagement, and align fundraising practices with institutional priorities and best industry practices; and
Whereas, the Benefactor Group's final report provides actionable recommendations to build a more coordinated, transparent, and effective fundraising structure;
Now, therefore, be it resolved therefore, be it resolved that the Board of Regents of Kentucky State University endorses the recommendations of the Philanthropy Review.
Be it further resolved that President Koffi C. Akakpo and his administration are authorized to enact as many of the recommendations as are financially prudent this fiscal year and in future fiscal years.
