- EXPLANATION/JUSTIFICATION FOR REQUESTED CHANGE(S). ENTER BOTH CURRENT AND PROPOSED DATA FOR EACH CHANGE (use additional pages as necessary):
- As a part of a revision and revitalization of the B.S. Biology: Biotechnology Option (BIT), this course should be modified to be renamed: Introduction to Biotechnology, for one credit hour, with the prerequisite of a BIT option with the biology major declaration. Course will count as orientation as it will orient BIT option students to the field and careers in biotechnology. Course will be offered every spring semester.
New Catalog Description:
This course familiarizes students with career options, necessary academic preparation, and how to search for job in biotechnology (One hour of lecture per week).
