Ensure accreditation and SACSCOC requirements are met.
Communication Plan – Ensuring Transparency and Trust
1. Internal Communication
Weekly updates from Academic Affairs to faculty and staff.
Town halls for faculty, students, and staff to address concerns and clarify misconceptions.
Elevator speech training for deans, chairs, and faculty to ensure consistent messaging.
Dedicated SharePoint site with timelines, FAQs, data summaries, and meeting recordings.
2. Student Communication
Clear explanations of teach-out plans (if applicable).
Advising sessions to ensure degree progression.
Student-focused messaging emphasizing that KSU remains a four-year HBCU with a comprehensive mission, not a trade school.
3. Alumni & Community Communication
Proactive outreach to alumni groups to prevent misinformation.
Messaging that highlights:
Regular updates to legislators and community partners to maintain support.
Continued commitment to humanities and general education core
The polytechnic model as a future-focused, workforce-aligned evolution, not a departure from KSU's identity
4. Executive & Governance Communication
Monthly briefings/communication to the Board of Regents.
Regular updates to CPE to ensure alignment with state expectations.
Documentation of all decisions for accreditation compliance.
