TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 243-2026

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SOS INSPECTIONS, LLC TO SERVE AS AN AUTHORIZED PRIVATE ONSITE INSPECTION AND PLAN REVIEW AGENCY FOR PLUMBING SUB CODE SERVICES

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson is in need for the services of an Authorized Private Onsite Inspection and Plan Review Agency, approved by the Office of Regulatory Affairs of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, to provide plumbing sub code services; and

WHEREAS, the Township has received a proposal from SOS Inspections, LLC to serve in such capacity; and

WHEREAS, this appointment qualifies as a professional service in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law and the contract may be awarded under the Non-Fair and Open Process of N.J.S.A.. 19:44A-20.4, et seq; and

WHEREAS, the Township Council wishes to authorize the appointment of SOS Inspections, LLC until such time as the need for same no longer exists; and

WHEREAS, such appointment is made retroactive to the date of commencement of work for Jackson Township of September 15, 2026.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED this 22nd day of September, 2026 by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

1. The Township hereby awards a contract to SOS Inspections, LLC to serve as an Authorized Private Onsite Inspection and Plan Review Agency for plumbing sub code issues for Jackson Township under the Non-Fair and Open Process has outlined in N.J.S.A.. 19:44A-20.4, et seq..
2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the following:
1. Sandra Martin, Township Clerk
2. Charles Terefenko, Business Administrator
3. Jeanette Larrison, CFO
4. Jackson Township Construction Code Official
5. Honorable Jennifer Kuhn, Mayor
