Under close supervision of the Chief Rental Housing Inspector or Rental Housing Inspector to perform productive work while receiving formal and on the job training in the proper procedures involved in conducting housing inspections designed to eliminate blight and restore and/or eliminate substandard housing accommodations within Jackson Township. In addition, the Rental Housing Inspector Trainee may be appointed to such position for a period of no longer than 12 months in accordance with N.J.A.C. 4A:3-3.7(d).
  20. The Rental Housing Inspector trainee shall receive instructions as to the proper procedures for inspecting residential dwellings for violations of applicable housing requirements, and how to reinspect residential dwellings after completion of repairs to ensure compliance with rental housing regulations. Rental Housing Inspector Trainee may issue Notices of Violations of the applicable housing requirements for residential dwellings in Jackson Township. In addition, thereto the Rental Housing Inspector Trainee shall as directed:

  22. Assists in coordinating duties with other concerned agencies.
  23. Learn to prepare reports, maintain records and files and how to present inspection findings in court cases.
