Results of the max stages experienced during the modeled Hurricane Ian simulation were inundated against the DEM to depict where areas of flooding occurred. Figure 13 shows these results. Compared to the photographs provided by FDOT staff of the flooding extents, the areas shown as flooded in the modeling closely resemble reality.
