1. That the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Township Council, does hereby appoint Brent O'Connor as Construction Code Official for the Jackson Township Division of Construction commencing February 1, 2021.
2. The Township Council establishes the salary for Brent O'Connor at $97,000.00 per annum and sets forth a minimum 35 hour work week.
3. That the appointment of Brent O'Connor as Construction Code Official of the Township of Jackson is made in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A 40:69A-180.
4. That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Administration, Chief Financial Officer, Personnel, Payroll, Brent O’Connor, and any other interested parties.

TITLE: AUTHORIZE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON AND R. J. TWITCHELL & CO., INC. FOR TELESCOPIC CYLINDER REPLACEMENTS WHEREBY INCREASING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $1,755.86, RESULTING IN AN ADJUSTED CONTRACT PRICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,299.90

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson previously awarded a contract to R. J. Twitchell & Co., Inc. for the replacement of telescopic cylinders in two (2) 40 cubic-yard full eject compaction containers in the amount of $22,544.04; and

WHEREAS, the Supervisor of DPW, Robert Stauffer, has recommended the approval of Change Order No. 1 increasing the contract by $1,755.86 for labor and materials to install missing retaining spring assemblies needed for proper equipment operation; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. That the Township Council hereby formally approves and authorizes Change Order No. 1 to the contract between the Township of Jackson and R.J. Twitchell & Co., Inc., increasing the contract by $1,755.86 for labor and materials to install missing retaining spring assemblies needed for proper equipment operation, resulting in an adjusted contract price in the amount of $24,299.90 charged to account number T 12-56-851-000-804.
2. That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Township Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to DPW, Purchasing Department, R.J. Twitchell & Co., Inc. and any other interested parties.
