RESOLUTION 079R-21 TITLE: RE-APPOINT ALTERNATE 1 MEMBER TO THE JACKSON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, a vacancy will exist on the Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority for an Alternate 1 member as of February 1, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 3, Section 149 of the Administrative Code of the Township of Jackson provides for the appointment of one Alternate Member to the Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority for a term of five (5) years by the Township Council; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Township Council to fill said vacancy.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

1. Lewis Wildman is hereby re-appointed as Alternate 1 member to the Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority for a five (5) year term commencing February 1, 2021 and ending January 31, 2026.
2. Appointee shall perform such duties and responsibilities as set forth by the State Statute and the Municipal Code of the Township of Jackson.
3. Certified copies of this Resolution to Executive Director Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority, appointee and any other interested parties.

TITLE: CONSENT TO THE APPOINTMENT OF A CONSTRUCTION CODE OFFICIAL FOR THE DIVISION OF CONSTRUCTION UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION

MOTION TO APPROVE BY: SAUICKIE MOTION SECONDED BY: BORRELLI YES: BORRELLI, CHISHOLM, SAUICKIE, FLEMMING, KERN

WHEREAS, under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:69A-43, each department shall be headed by a director, who shall be appointed by the mayor with the advice and consent of council; and

WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Jackson Township Code, Chapter 3-26(A), the term “director” and “department head” shall have the same meaning and may be used interchangeably; and

WHEREAS, salaries of department heads may be recommended by the Mayor, and subject to the approval of the Township Council, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:69A-180; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Township Council, is desirous of appointing Brent O’Connor as Construction Code Official for the Jackson Township Division of Construction in the Department of Administration.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
