WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the Township Council to approve the request of the Department of Purchasing.
WHEREAS, adequate funding is available in account number C-04-55-835-005-920 under ordinance 09-17 for the purchase of four (4) Power Edge R740 servers for the Jackson Township Municipal Building; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, does hereby approve amending Resolution No. 072R-21 to include SHI International an authorized dealer for EMC Corporation to the list of approved NJ State Contract Vendors for CY 2021.
Copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Purchasing Department, and any other interested parties.

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson Police Department is seeking authorization to apply for and accept a “FY 2021 Pedestrian Safety Grant” commencing July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety; and
WHEREAS, the State would award a grant to the Township of Jackson in the amount of $6,840.00 which will pay for 114 hours of Pedestrian Safety related enforcement during the one (1) year period; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey the following:
That the Jackson Township Police Department is authorized to make application for and accept the FY 2021-2022 Pedestrian Safety Grant from the State of New Jersey in the amount of $6,840.00.
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the Township Clerk to attest to the Grant Acceptance Conditions.
That this resolution shall become effective immediately.
That upon adoption of this resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to Police Officer Edward Travisano, Patricia Schwark and any other interested parties.
