That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the Township Clerk to attest to, respectively, the Shared Services Agreement, and any other documents necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
That the term of the agreement shall be effective for a term effective September 9, 2021 through June 16, 2022.
That a copy of the agreement referenced herein shall be kept on file and made available for public inspection at the Township Clerk's Office during normal business hours.
That a certified copy of this resolution, together with a copy of the agreement, shall be forwarded to the Jackson Board of Education Business Administrator Michelle Richardson, Lindsay Taft (Jackson BOE), Personnel, and Finance (Trish Schwark).

TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH T&M ASSOCIATES FOR ASBESTOS IDENTIFICATION SURVEY FOR THE ROVA FARMS SITE IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,650.00

WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional engineering services related to an asbestos identification survey for structures and grounds at the Rova Farms site; and

WHEREAS, the performance of these services requires knowledge of an advanced type in a field of learning pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-2, and the Township has determined that T&M Associates has the ability and expertise to perform the Municipal services required by the Township and is duly qualified to serve as Special Engineer; and

WHEREAS, T&M Associates has provided the Township with a scope and budget proposal dated May 18, 2021 and Revised May 20, 2021, a copy of which is attached hereto as Schedule A; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the governing body to appoint T&M Associates Engineers to provide the professional services for an Asbestos Identification Survey for the Rova Farms site; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that there are funds available for this contract, which certification is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., authorizes the award of contracts for "Professional Services" and requires that the resolution and contract be made available for public inspection.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

That T&M Associates Engineers is hereby appointed to provide professional services related to an Asbestos Identification Survey for the Rova Farms site; with the proposal attached hereto as Schedule A.
That this contract is awarded as a “Professional Service” in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i) of the Local Public Contracts Law because it is for services to be performed by a person or persons authorized by law to practice a recognized profession.
That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
That a certified copy of this resolution shall be provided by the Township Clerk to the Purchasing Agent and T&M Associates Engineers.

That a certificate of availability of funds executed by the Chief Financial Officer is annexed hereto. The following account number constitutes the availability of funds for this project: T-19-56-861-000-819.
