RESOLUTION 194R-21 TITLE: APPOINT ALTERNATE II TO THE JACKSON TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

MOTION TO APPROVE BY: SAUICKIE MOTION SECONDED BY: FLEMMING YES: BORRELLI, CHISHOLM, SAUICKIE, FLEMMING, KERN

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Zoning Board of Adjustment; and

WHEREAS, the Township Council is authorized, pursuant to Chapter 3, Section 146 of the Administrative Code of the Township of Jackson, to appoint members to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for terms set forth in said code and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-23.3 and 40:55D-23.4; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Township Council to fill said vacancy.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. The following individual is hereby appointed to the Jackson Township Zoning Board of Adjustment as follows:
  2. Victor Clairmont (Alternate II) – fill unexpired term of Toniann Commello to June 30, 2022
  3. Appointee shall perform such duties and responsibilities as set forth by State Statute and the Municipal Code of the Township of Jackson.
  4. Appointee shall serve without compensation.
  5. A certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Jackson Township Zoning Board of Adjustment, Zoning Officer, appointee and any other interested parties.

TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING UPDATES AND AMENDMENTS INCLUDING THE RETIREMENT ENHANCEMENT SECURE ACT AND TO INCLUDE THE ROTH 457(b) PLAN OPTION TO THE EXISTING 457(b) DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson previously adopted a resolution approving and implementing a 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan with Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc. and AXA Equitable for the Township of Jackson; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Retirement Enhancement Secure Act of 2019, Pub. L. 116-94, the Act included several changes and new optional plan provisions, periodic review resulting in amendments to the Plan is required; and

WHEREAS, amendments must be approved by the Governing Body; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer is seeking authorization to incorporate Plan amendments and include the Roth 457(b) plan option to the existing 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan for the Township of Jackson.
