WHEREAS, the Township Council has considered the Police Department’s need for the above vehicles; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. That the Township Council does hereby authorize the purchase of the above referenced vehicles with options in an amount not to exceed $85,097.91 from Beyer Ford, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960, an approved ESCNJ Co-Op Vendor, #65MCESCCPS – ESCNJ 20/21-09, which contract term expires 9/14/2022, with a properly executed purchase order.
  2. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to Matthew Kunz, Purchasing Department and any other interested parties.

  8. WHEREAS, the Police Department has requested approval for the purchase of one (1) F-250 from Beyer Ford, an approved State Contract Vendor per attached Schedule A:
  9. ITEM 1. One (1) 2022 Ford F-250 (X2B) XL 4WD SuperCab 8' Box CONTRACT NO. #88727 / T2100
  10. CONTRACT NO. AMOUNT #88727 / T2100 $54,998.50
  11. ; and
  12. WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson, pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A:11-12a and N.J.A.C. 5:34-7.29(c) may by resolution and without advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under the ESCNJ Cooperative Purchasing Program; and
  13. WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists and is available for this purpose, in account number C-04-55-842-000-129; and
  14. WHEREAS, the Township Council has considered the Police Department’s need for the above vehicles; and
  15. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

That the Township Council does hereby authorize the purchase of the above referenced vehicles with options in an amount not to exceed $54,998.50 from Beyer Ford, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960, an approved State Contract Vendor, #88727/T2100, which contract term expires 8/25/2021, with a properly executed purchase order.
  17. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to Matthew Kunz, Purchasing Department and any other interested parties.
