He feels that the upcoming mask mandate for school- aged children should be up to the parents for making the choice deciding if children should wear masks or not. He stated for a second school year it would impede their health, learning and social development.

In closing he stated they are busy finalizing plans for Jackson Day which will be held on Saturday October 2nd from 12 to 6pm at Johnson Park; there will be fun for the whole family including food, possibly a beer and wine garden, music, rides and all kinds of vendors. He wants to encourage our fellow residents to attend. He hopes that we have nice weather for it. He added there will be a parade in the morning before Jackson Day starts. In light of this last year and a half we as a town would like to honor and acknowledge our doctors, nurses and health care workers by inviting them to walk in the parade. He stated if you work in health care or know someone that would like to walk in the parade that maybe works in the health care field, or if you belong to an organization like a classic car club and would like to walk into the parade before Jackson Day starts, please reach out to Officer Basso at mbasso@jacksontwpnj.net or if you’d like to be a vendor at Jackson Day on October 2nd please email Kathleen ksevcenko@jacksontwpnj.net.
