WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson, using the Fair and Open Process in accordance with New Jersey State Law, previously awarded a contract to Action Uniform Co., LLC for the purchase of police department uniforms on an “as needed” basis for a two-year period with the option to renew for one (1) additional 2-year period for a total contract duration not to exceed four (4) years; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety is requesting to extend this contract for the additional 2-year period with Action Uniform Co., LLC pursuant to the terms and conditions of the original contract agreement in accordance with the original bid specifications, and the addition of one sheet entitled “Bid Extension Modifications”, for a total dollar amount of $60,000.00 over the two year period; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding for this purpose exists for the balance of CY 2021 in Account No. 1-01-25-240-000-032; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
That the Township Council hereby formally authorizes and approves the execution of one (2) year contract extension with Action Uniform Co., LLC for the purchase of police uniforms on an “as needed basis” effective July 23, 2021 through July 23, 2023. This renewal is the only “allowed” contract extension with Action Uniform Co., LLC for this service. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain in effect during this one (2) year contract extension, with the addition of one sheet entitled “Bid Extension Modifications”. The Mayor and Township Clerk are authorized to sign or issue any appropriate documentation to give effect to the within resolution.
That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Township Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to the Chief of Police, Purchasing, and any other interested parties.

TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE JACKSON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION AND JACKSON TOWNSHIP FOR THE TEMPORARY USE OF ITS FUELING FACILITIES

WHEREAS, the Jackson Township Board of Education is experiencing a DEP ban on the use of its fueling tanks on Don Connor Boulevard, and they are requesting the use of Jackson Township’s fuel tanks for a period of time commencing September 3, 2021; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:65-5 requires that such an agreement be authorized by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Jackson Township will furnish to the Jackson Township Board of Education the use of their fueling system as set forth in the Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Schedule A; and
WHEREAS, the Jackson Township Board of Education shall pay the actual cost of the gas used to the Township of Jackson within 30 days of receipt of an invoice the Township of Jackson for same; and
