NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
SECTION I. Purpose. Chapter 162-4 of the Township Code outlines the Building Subcode Fees in Jackson Township. Chapter 162-4(A)(2) governs the building subcode fees for new construction. It is the purpose of this Ordinance to insure the subcode fees in Jackson Township are comparable to those fees of surrounding municipalities.
SECTION II. Chapter 162-4 shall be amended as follows:
(1) No Change
New Construction. The fee shall be based upon the volume of the structure.
Volume computation shall be determined by N.J.A.C. 23-2.28; use groups and types of construction are classified and defined in accordance with the provisions of the code most recently adopted by the Township's Building Department in accordance with the Department of Community Affairs, Uniform Construction Code.
New construction, all use groups (per cubic foot of volume)
[1] All use groups, with the exception of S-1 and S-2: $0.040 per cubic foot of volume.
[2] Use groups S-1 and S-2: $0.035 per cubic foot of volume.
[3] Minimum fees for Subsection A(2)(b)[1], [2], [3] and [4].
[4] Structures on farms used exclusively for the purpose of storage of food or grain or sheltering of livestock: $0.02 per cubic foot of volume.
