RESOLUTION 396R-21 TITLE: AUTHORIZE CONTRACT AWARD BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON AND J. FLETCHER CREAMER & SON, INC. FOR THE PROJECT KNOWN AS “EMERGENCY/NON-EMERGENCY ROAD, STORM SEWER & INFRASTRUCTURE WORK” FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT PRICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $159,925.00 FOR A TWO YEAR PERIOD WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR ONE (1) ADDITIONAL TWO-YEAR PERIOD, OR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS

WHEREAS, Purchasing Agent, Veronica Dingle, QPA, has requested authorization to award a contract for the Emergency/Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer & Infrastructure Work; and

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously advertised for the receipt of bids on October 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. for project known as “Emergency/Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer & Infrastructure Work”; and

WHEREAS, at the time and place for receipt of bids, the following bid was submitted for this proposed work:

  1. 1. J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. $159,925.00 and;

Total Bid

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1, any purchases, contracts or agreements which require public advertisement for bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder; and

WHEREAS, Purchasing Agent, Veronica Dingle, QPA, is recommending the bid for the Emergency/Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer & Infrastructure Work be awarded to J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists for this purpose on an as-needed basis in the following Account Numbers:

C-04-55-834-002-929 - $ 5,432.00 C-04-55-842-000-529 - $142,180.00 C-04-55-842-000-629 - $ 12,313.00

WHEREAS, it is now it is the desire of this Township Council to act upon the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent, Veronica Dingle, QPA.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, that:

1. Township Purchasing Agent, Veronica Dingle, QPA, is hereby authorized to

award a contract for the Emergency/Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer & Infrastructure Work to J. Fletcher Creamer and Son, Inc. in the amount of $159,925.00. The Mayor and Township Clerk are authorized to sign or issue any appropriate documentation to give effect to the within resolution.
