WHEREAS, the property owner had made application to the Township as a totally disabled veteran, which had been approved by the Municipal Assessor on 11/30/21 and;
WHEREAS, it is Township practice, at this time, to grant the exemption for up to 4 (four) tax quarters preceding the approval date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
The Tax Collector is directed to cancel taxes as follows:
2021 - $ 2,413.44
2022 - $ 2,653.32 - 1st half taxes until the final half of 2022 is determined.
The Tax Collector is directed to process a refund for any overpayment due to the cancellation of taxes.
The Assessor is directed to make this parcel exempt in the 2022 Tax List

WHEREAS, The Department of Veteran Affairs determined that Albert Wade Jr. at 26 Turnberry Place, Block 19904 Lot 40, has a service connected disability that was totally disabling effective 8/31/2010 and has owned the above listed parcel since 8/23/21, and;
