WHEREAS, due to the retirement of Township Clerk Janice Kisty, a vacancy will exist in the position of Township Clerk of the Township of Jackson effective January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024; and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133 and the Jackson Township Administrative Code Section 3-30 provides for the appointment of a Township Clerk.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, and State of New Jersey, as follows:

  1. Diane C. Festino, RMC, is hereby appointed to the position of Township Clerk of the Township of Jackson for a term of office commencing January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024 at an annual salary of $95,000.00.
  2. The term of office of the Township Clerk shall be for a three-year period and subject to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133.
  3. Copies of this Resolution to Township Clerk, CFO, Payroll, Personnel Manager, Municipal Administrator and any other interested parties.
  4. That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to the Division of Local Government Services, New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.

TOWNSHIP CLERK KISTY ADMINISTERS THE OATH OF OFFICE TO MARY MOSS

WHEREAS, the Deputy Municipal Clerk of the Township of Jackson, Diane Festino, RMC is appointed as Municipal Clerk effective January 1, 2022; and

WHEREAS, a vacancy will exist for the position of Deputy Municipal Clerk of the Township of Jackson; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135, the governing body desires to appoint Mary Moss as Deputy Municipal Clerk for the Township of Jackson, effective January 3, 2022; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the governing body of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. That Mary Moss is hereby appointed as Deputy Municipal Clerk for the Township of Jackson for a term of two years commencing January 3, 2022 and ending January 2, 2024 at an annual salary of $75,000.00.
  2. That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the New Jersey Department of Personnel, CFO, Payroll, Personnel and Mary Moss.
