Transit, Suburban, etc.) to come in. Attorney Kenneally explained that he would have to look at the agreement. Deputy Mayor Kafton went on to say that Mr. Ingram brought up earlier about answering and disclosing information, but he doesn’t realize all the players involved here. He stated it is very hard for him when new people come to a meeting and see all this going on and it makes him look like the bad guy. Politicians have a bad name from the beginning so it always seems like he is digging out of a hole. The truth is he has always answered all the questions because he has nothing to hide. The people who are attacking him here are a fraction of the opposing party. The majority of the opposing party broke away from them years ago because of these types of antics. The truth is Mrs. Rickabaugh would love to get back up here again at all cost and it is at the cost of himself, his children and his family. Committeeman Seda stated that his problem is that Mr. Kafton sits up here and cries poor politician. He was elected by the people to represent Jackson Township and he should answer those people. If he doesn’t want to be held accountable he should not put himself in this position. Deputy Mayor Kafton stated that if Mr. Seda were listening he would have heard him say that he has done no improprieties even though Mrs. Rickabaugh continues to carry on because she has a vendetta. He explained that he would like Mrs. Rickabaugh to file ethics charges because this is nothing but harassment. He explained that he is not partners with any developers, he did not do any business dealings with the Township, he isn’t dealing with Mitch Leigh and he didn’t pay for a helicopter. He has answered all her questions a hundred times.

VICKY RICKABAUGH, 5 STANLEY PALCE: She began by asking Deputy Mayor Kafton if on June 23, 2003 did the developer investment firm of CLSP sell a home to him or an immediate family member and in just four days did you or a family member flip the home for a 14,000 profit? Then four weeks later at a Township Committee Meeting did he vote for the release of Township owned land that would benefit the developer investment firm of CLSP? Also, before he voted was he asked by a resident if he or his immediate family past or present have any business relationships with the firm of CLSP. At that meeting Mr. Kafton answered, “It is a very legitimate question, but I do not” and for the record the Committee replied, “no one has any business dealings with CLSP.” Committeeman Kafton replied that his family bought a home from CLSP and also sold the home. At one point he believes that CLSP asked the township to sell a piece of property because CLSP owned the surrounding properties. He believes he voted on that because one had nothing to do with the other. He stated when a property owner asks the township to sell them a piece of property because the owner owns all the surrounding property it is okay for the township to sell it to them at a market value. That company put a listing up and his family had to bid on it like anyone else through another real estate agency. Committeeman Giblin stated if this is going to be an inquisition of Deputy Mayor Kafton he doesn’t believe it is in the township’s best interest to take up the time of this Committee and its residents. He believes there is another forum where she can ask a one on one questions of Mr. Kafton. If there is a specific question relating to dates and times such as June 23rd, Mr. Kafton could inadvertently make a mistake in answering because the date could be June 26th and that could come back and be held against him. Those types of questions should be put in writing and given to Mr. Kafton. She is attacking Mr. Kafton personally and professionally and it has nothing to do with the running of this town. She has a personal vendetta against him and this is not township business. This is a witch-hunt and this is not the forum for it. Committeeman Giblin asked to have this line of questioning stopped and if there is an impropriety, she should go through a court of law that can answer these questions. There has been many ethics violations filed against Mr. Kafton and they will be filed again. We went through this in 2003 regarding CLSP and an ethics charge was filed and dismissed. Committeeman Seda asked that they would allow the residents of Jackson to ask questions of them as Committeemen and the questions be answered. Committeeman Giblin asked the Mayor to have this line of questioning stopped. Mayor Broderick stated they would stop this line of questioning and move on.

CURTIS BRIGGS, 121 WHISPERING OAKS LANE: He stated that earlier in the meeting Mayor Broderick stated that questioning the moving of the discussion agenda would be moot and he hopes that means that they intend to give the residents of Jackson the opportunity they deserve to respond to statements made by Committee Members
