WHEREAS, The Department of Veteran Affairs determined that Salvatore Ruggieri at 337 Nighthawk Lane, Block 9.01 Lot 194.03 to have a service connected disability that is totally disabling as of November 1st, 2004;
WHEREAS, Mr. Ruggieri has made application to the Township as a totally disabled veteran, which has been approved by the Tax Assessor as of 1/06/05, and;
WHEREAS, it is Township policy to grant the exemption for the current year, and up to two preceding years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
The Tax Collector is directed to cancel taxes as follows:
2004 - 814.19
2005 - 2,433.92 (1st Half)
The Tax Collector is directed to process a refund for any overpayment due to the cancellation of taxes.
The Tax Collector is directed to cancel 2005 2nd half taxes when established.
The parcel is to be exempted on the 2006 tax list.
