WHEREAS, The Department of Veteran Affairs determined that Salvatore Ruggieri at 337 Nighthawk Lane, Block 99.06 Lot 23 to have a service connected disability that is totally disabling as of January 6th 2003;

WHEREAS, Mr. Ruggieri has made application to the Township as a totally disabled veteran, which has been approved by the Tax Assessor as of 12/23/04, and;

WHEREAS, it is Township policy to grant the exemption for the current year, and up to two preceding years.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. The Tax Collector is directed to cancel taxes as follows:
  2. 2003 - $6,884.75 2004 - $7,153.23 2005 - $3,576.62 (1^{st} Half)
  3. The Tax Collector is directed to process a refund for any overpayment due to the cancellation of taxes.
  4. The Tax Collector is directed to cancel 2005 2nd half taxes when established.
  5. The parcel is to be exempted on the 2006 tax list.

  12. WHEREAS, a need exists in the Police Department for the appointment of Public Safety Telecommunicators on a part-time basis; and
  13. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Mayor and Township Committee to fill said positions from within.
  14. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, THAT:
