Whitesville Industrial Park proper to Houston Avenue to allow traffic to come through Lakewood onto what was previously known as Brush Avenue and then onto Houston Avenue. Mr. Stevens thinks it makes more sense to continue Brush Avenue improvements all the way to Whitesville Road. Connecting two County roads will be a much better traffic improvement. The applicant has unofficially agreed to give Lakewood a 30 foot right of way so there will be access from Lakewood to Houston Avenue and from there up to Jackson. There is a 20 to 25 foot elevation difference between the properties. Grading into Whitesville Industrial Park will be needed so the road can continue into Jackson.
Mr. Alfieri requested this come back before the Board on May 6, 2024 in place of the application for 340 West Commodore, LLC, because the applicant for 340 West Commodore will not be ready on May 6. There are a few members of the public here tonight who would like to comment.
Steve Reinman, Director of the Lakewood Industrial Commission, was sworn in. He is not affiliated with the applicant or represented by Mr. Alfieri, but is here at the request of the Mayor and Committee of Lakewood. Proper traffic flow is needed so the entire zone can work. He will work with Whitesville Industrial Park to see what accommodations can be made to make it most efficient. This point of egress would be very valuable. A requirement would be dedication of the right of way.
Moshe Steinberg, resident of 20 Esti Circle in Lakewood, was sworn in. This project needs major infrastructure in terms of roads. More time is needed to work with those involved. He is concerned that the Faraday warehouse will block the view from his property.
Nathan Birnhack, resident of 18 Esti Circle in Lakewood, was sworn in. He supports easing traffic and improving the road infrastructure, but he would like to see a landscape plan with the buffer. The proposed warehouse is almost 50 feet tall and will affect the view from his development. Dr. Campbell assured him that more will be heard from the professionals and the public in May.
Mr. Riker suggested that a representative or agent from Whitesville Industrial Park should attend the May meeting.
Mr. Riker made a motion, seconded by Mr. Burnstein, to carry this application to May 6, 2024. All members in favor among those present Mr. Shea stated that re-notice is not needed. The applicant agreed to waive time.
Mr. Burnstein made a motion, seconded by Mr. Riker, to adjourn the meeting. All members in favor among those present. The meeting ended at 10:05 p.m.
