RESOLUTION 469-02 TITLE: RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN JACKSON TOWNSHIP AND EAGLE CONSTRUCTION FOR “NEW ROOF & HVAC SYSTEM” JACKSON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING AT NO COST INCREASE TO THE CURRENT CONTRACT AMOUNT.

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously awarded a contract to Eagle Construction and approved previous Change Orders for a current contract amount of $903,395.00 for the project entitled “New Roof & HVAC Replacement” for the Jackson Township Municipal Building; and

WHEREAS, the Township Architect, Robert Krieger, Township Mechanical Engineer, Lou Hegyi and Township Administrator have reviewed said project and recommend approval of Change Order No. 3 for the relocation of an existing water line above Corridor 109 due to the need to install two (2) new supply air diffusers in this corridor and the lack of space above the ceiling, and;

WHEREAS, said Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $1,632.00 will be deducted from the contract contingency thus resulting in a no cost increase to the contract, and;

WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this governing body to approve Change Order No. 3 dated August 29, 2002 to provide for the relocation of an existing water line above Corridor 109 due to the need to install two (2) new supply air diffusers in this corridor and the lack of space above the ceiling, and;

• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
• That the Township Committee of Jackson Township hereby formally approves Change Order No. 3 to the contract between Jackson Township and Eagle Construction resulting in a no cost increase to the contract.
• That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to Township Architect, Township Administrator, Chief Financial Officer and Eagle Construction.
