TITLE: RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY AUTHORIZING A SETTLEMENT IN THE CIVIL LAWSUIT OF MARSYLL OF B.B., INC. ASSOC. V. TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, DOCKET NOS. OCN-L-3160-01 AND OCN-L-850-01

WHEREAS, in 2001, Marsyll of B.B., Inc., Assoc. filed a civil lawsuit against the Township of Jackson regarding Jackson Township Ordinances No. 03-01 and No. 36-01; and

WHEREAS, Marsyll of B.B., Inc., Assoc., has offered in settlement to release the Township of Jackson from any liability or damages arising out of the civil action, Docket Nos. OCN-L-97-01 and OCN-L-850-01, subject to the attached "Exhibit A"; and

WHEREAS, the Township Attorney, Kevin N. Starkey, Esq., has recommended entering into the proposed Settlement Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the Township Committee of the Township of Jackson has considered the Settlement Agreement and the recommendation of Kevin N. Starkey, Esq.;

TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS FOR A SERVICE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT – HVAC SYSTEM IN THE JUSTICE COMPLEX

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has reviewed and the Township Committee has approved specifications for and has determined that it will advertise for sealed bids for a heating and air conditioning maintenance contract agreement for the Justice Complex for the period commencing November 1, 2002 and ending October 31, 2003.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, as follows:
