  1. This agreement shall take effect upon execution by the parties and remain in full force and effect through December 31, 2017.
  2. That upon the adoption of the within resolution and execution of the agreement, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it together with the executed contract to the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Administration, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Public Works, Township Engineer and any other interested parties.

TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE ALLOCATION OF $73,990 TO THE JACKSON TOWNSHIP DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION FOR THE PURCHASE AND SALE OF TICKETS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR GREAT ADVENTURE CY 2017

Attorney Cipriani advised she reviewed the body of the resolution as well as the consignment agreement and there is an error in the title of the resolution. The amount that should be authorized is $73,990.00.

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson Department of Recreation provides a service to the public by selling tickets to Great Adventure; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Recreation has requested an allocation of $73,990.00, which it will be used to purchase tickets (1,000 tickets @ $73.99/each) from Great Adventure, this money will be paid back to the Township through ticket sales; and

WHEREAS, the Township will only be obligated to Great Adventure for the amount of tickets actually sold, if any tickets remain after the close of the season, they will be returned to Great Adventure and the Township will not be responsible for payment; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the governing body to authorize the allocation of $73,990.00 to the Department of Recreation for the purchase of Great Adventure tickets for resale to the general public.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. That the governing body does hereby authorize the allocation of $73,990.00 to the Department of Recreation for the purchase of Great Adventure tickets.
  2. That a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Chief Financial Officer, Purchasing Department, Department of Recreation and any other interested parties.
