TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 384-2025

AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION FOR AN EMPLOYEE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND MUTUAL RELEASE

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has negotiated a Separation/Settlement Agreement along with mutual releases with respect to Police Chief Matthew Kunz; and

WHEREAS, the Township Council of the Township of Jackson wishes to authorize the execution of that agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED this 16th day of December, 2025 by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. The Mayor, Township Clerk and such other Township Officials as may be deemed necessary are hereby authorized to execute the Settlement Agreement between the Township of Jackson and Chief Police Matthew Kunz in substantially the form authorized by the Council and any minor, non-substantive corrections or amendments as approved by the Township Attorney and the approval of Summit Risk.
  2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the following:
