WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has promulgated Personnel Policies Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook with various procedures applicable to its employees, volunteers, and appointed officials; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has requested that the Township Council approve a revision to the holiday schedule to add Lincoln's Birthday and the Friday after Thanksgiving
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the Township of Jackson that the Township hereby amends Section Three of the aforementioned Personnel Policies Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook.so as to read in its entirety as follows:
THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON
These policies cover non-union employees. They also cover union employees to the extent that their collective bargaining agreements do not cover these issues.
Full-time permanent, provisional and unclassified employees are entitled to paid holidays. Part-time, permanent employees are entitled to official holidays on a pro-rated basis. Police Officers shall refer to their collective bargaining agreements. The following is a list of holidays granted by the Township

Day after Thanksgiving (except Sanitation personnel who receive one extra day)
