FUTURE TRAFFIC PROJECTIONS

A design year of 2032 was assumed for analysis in accordance with Ocean County Planning Board protocol (10 year horizon). Base traffic volumes were expanded by 1.0 percent per year for 3 years and 0.50 percent per year for 8 years in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Transportation's (NJDOT) Historical Background Traffic Growth Rate data for the area to establish the 2032 no-build traffic volumes (Figure 4 in the Appendix). Site generated and distributed traffic volumes were then surcharged onto 2032 no-build traffic volumes in order to arrive at full build year 2032 traffic volumes which are shown on Figure 5 in the Appendix.
