this they could put it in an ordinance. Clerk Eden confirmed it could be put on the May 27th meeting agenda.

NEW DOG PARK-RULES AND REGULATIONS

CLERK EDEN stated the park had been opened and tentative rules and regulations had been established to see how it worked and recommended the Council adopt an ordinance to establish the rules and regulations for the Code book which would make it easier to enforce and have that prepared for the May 27th agenda also. Councilwoman Ingram read one rule regarding the age of children attending the dog park and asked for clarification. Clerk Eden and Administrator Del Turco stated they would look into it. Council President Updegrave confirmed there was no fee for using the park because the Mayor intended it to be fun for people to enjoy with their dogs. Administrator Del Turco stated it was a coordinated effort between the Police Department, Recreation and Animal Control and they needed to finalize fines, violation and penalties stating Animal Control would be the enforcing agency. Clerk Eden stated once they had worked that out it would be brought back before the Council. Councilwoman Ingram asked what would happen if the dog bit someone? Attorney Foran stated there was a State law about that which he agreed to provide a copy for Administrator Del Turco. Council President Updegrave confirmed the dog's actions were the responsibility of the owner.

SUMMER RECREATION TENNIS PROGRAM

CLERK EDEN stated Steven Eisenstein, Director of Recreation, wanted to establish a summer tennis camp and before that could be done, Ms. Eden explained they would need to establish an ordinance identifying the fees for said program. Councilman Martin felt that type of program had been discussed in the past and asked if there was anything on the books already that they could possibly amend? Clerk Eden asked Administrator Del Turco and it was confirmed there wasn’t but Clerk Eden stated they would amend the section of the code to include this program and the cost. Administrator Del Turco stated summer was approaching and Mr. Eisenstein was anxious to get this underway for the next meeting. Council President Updegrave asked if he looked at other towns to assess their fees that Mr. Del Turco confirmed that he did. An ordinance will be prepared for the May 27th Council meeting.
