NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, that the Cash Bond for winter conditions in the amount of $500.00, heretofore, posted with the Township may and hereby is released to Shannon Unger.

The Mayor and Township Clerk are authorized to sign or issue any appropriate documentation to give effect to the within resolution.

TITLE: AUTHORIZE ACCEPTANCE OF “CLICK-IT-OR-TICKET 2008 GRANT” FROM THE NEW JERSEY DIVISION OF HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000.00

MOTION TO APPROVE BY: GUDAITIS MOTION SECONDED BY: INGRAM YES: INGRAM, MARTIN, GUDAITIS & UPDEGRAVE ABSENT: STALLONE

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson Police Department has applied for the “Click-It-or-Ticket 2008 Grant” from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety; and

WHEREAS, the State has awarded a grant to the Township of Jackson in the amount of $4,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the grant will pay for Police Officers to work overtime to enforce laws effecting the safety and welfare of the streets of Jackson Township and to educate and encourage the public on the benefits of safety belt and child passenger safety seat restraint use.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey to accept the Grant from the State of New Jersey and authorize the Mayor and Treasurer to sign the Grant Acceptance Conditions.

TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF FIREWORKS PERMIT TO SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE

WHEREAS, Six Flags, Great Adventure has applied for a fireworks permit for a display to be held on July 4, 2008, and possible future dates (yet to be determined); and

WHEREAS, said display(s) to be produced by July-4-Ever, 382 Rock Cut Road, Walden, New York 12586; and

WHEREAS, the applicant has presented a Certificate of Insurance and Performance Bond and is currently operating under Federal Permit No. 8 NJ 029-54-8H-00230 and has executed a Hold Harmless Agreement on behalf of the Township; and

WHEREAS, the current Federal Permit No. 8 NJ 015 34 7J 90187 from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for Great Adventure will be expiring on August 8, 2008;
