U.S. 1 (Ridgewood Avenue) at Homeport Terrace Safety Improvements
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is proposing safety improvements at the intersection of U.S. 1 (Ridgewood Avenue) and Homeport Terrace in Edgewater. The purpose of these improvements is to enhance safety and efficiency by improving traffic flow and reducing conflict points, or locations where crashes can occur. Proposed improvements include converting the existing full median opening to a two-way directional median opening. These proposed improvements will allow U-turns and left turns for vehicles traveling along U.S. 1. Motorists will be prohibited from making left turns onto U.S. 1 from Homeport Terrace and the Dollar General.
