WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has a continuing need for Supplemental Snow Plowing Services for CY 2015; and
WHEREAS, under the Fair and Open Process, bids for Supplemental Snow Plowing Services for CY 2013 and CY 2014 with the option to review for two (2) or three (3) additional one year periods were received on August 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, contracts for Supplemental Snow Plowing Services CY 2013 and CY 2014 were awarded to A&M Harrison Construction, Galloway Enterprises, JR Custom Landscaping, Bil-Jim Construction Company and Monte Contracting, as per resolution No. 356R-12; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the bid specifications, the Township of Jackson has the option to renew Supplemental Snow Plowing Services (at the original hourly rates) for two (2) or three (3) additional one year periods; and
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Public Works has made recommendation to authorize a one (1) year contract extension for Supplemental Snow Plowing Services for CY 2015 with A&M Harrison Construction and Galloway Enterprises for the specified equipment and hourly rates, as noted below):

WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Public Works has determined that the above listed equipment is sufficient for the needs of the Township and has requested that the contracts with JR Custom Landscaping, Bil-Jim Construction and Monte Contracting not be renewed for the additional one (1) year period; and

WHEREAS, JR Custom Landscaping, Bil-Jim Construction and Monte Contracting received formal notification on October 22, 2014 that the Township of Jackson will not exercise its option to renew their contracts for Supplemental Snow Plowing Services for an additional one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding will exist for this purpose upon the adoption of the CY 2015 temporary operating budget and the balance of the contract being contingent on funds being available in the 2015 budgets; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, that:
