proposed bottom of basin (elevation 117.50). Therefore, no negative impacts are anticipated. The ground water mounding calculations can be found in the appendix of this report.
The project has been designed to satisfy the Nitrogen removal requirements set forth in NJAC 7:50 through the use of an underground basin with a manufactured treatment device. The grading and stormwater conveyance system has been designed to route runoff from motor vehicle surface, landscaped areas and roofs to a proposed underground basin with a MTD to comply with the required nitrogen removal of 53.2%, the proposed Nitrogen removal rate is 59.0%. Further it is noted that the proposed roof and sidewalk areas are not generating nitrogen; therefore 100% nitrogen removal has been provided within those areas. The Pinelands Nitrogen Removal calculations and Exhibit can be found in the Appendix of this report.
The proposed stormwater management collection system has been designed to have hydraulic capacity for the 25-year storm event. The Rational Method was used to determine inflow rates to each structure and Manning's Equation was used to establish pipe capacity. In accordance with the NJDEP BMP Manual Chapter 5, weighted runoff coefficients were computed for each drainage area based on land cover and hydrologic soil group. The time of concentration was calculated for each area. Rainfall intensity was based upon the Trenton Rainfall intensity curve. Supporting calculations and the Inlet Drainage Area Map can be found in the appendix.
The project has been designed to comply with the Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control in New Jersey. Soil erosion control measures such as a stabilized construction entrance, inlet protection and silt fence are shown on the plans. In addition, conduit outlet protection is proposed at the outflow point of the storm sewer system with supporting calculations included in the Appendix of this report. Finally, this project has been designed to satisfy the off-site stability standards set forth in the Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control in New Jersey.
As noted previously, the proposed peak flows meet the necessary requirements set forth in NJAC 7:8-5.6 and NJAC 7:50-56.84(a)6), thereby achieving off-site stability.
Special consideration shall be given to the use of infiltration for peak flow modifications as follows:
