ROADWAY RESURFACING
U.S. 192 (S.R. 530) from west of S.R. 429 to the Reedy Creek Bridge
Osceola County
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing approximately 3.33 miles of U.S. 192 (West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway/State Road (S.R.)) from west of S.R. 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway) to the Reedy Creek Bridge. The project will extend the service life of the existing roadway and enhance overall safety.
Additional improvements include reconstructing pedestrian curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and upgrading signage and pavement markings to improve visibility and traffic operations.

PROJECT START
October 2026
Near signalized intersections, motorists can expect single-lane closures to occur between 8 p.m. and 3 p.m. the following afternoon. Double-lane closures near signalized intersections will be restricted to between midnight and 6:30 a.m.
ESTIMATED COMPLETION
Spring 2027
Along the rest of the corridor, motorists can expect single-lane closures during active work periods, with double-lane closures restricted to between 8 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.
The level of work activity and noise will vary during different construction phases. Motorists should anticipate areas of uneven pavement within the project limits, a common condition during construction when the contractor applies multiple asphalt layers in phases. Many of these roadway conditions are short-term and will gradually improve as the project progresses.
