WHEREAS, the services to be provided will not be combined with any other work which would otherwise be characterized as a “biddable activity” as provided for in N.J.A.C. 5:34-2.2; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 5:24-2.3(b), the certification provided to the Governing Body notes that the solicitation of competitive quotations is impracticable based upon the type and nature of the services to be performed, the type of expertise and the proven reputation in the field of endeavor which are necessary to perform the services; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists for this purpose in an amount not to exceed $43,500.00 for CY 2020 under account #0-01-25-240-000-029; and

WHEREAS, the Township Clerk shall cause to be printed once, in the official newspaper of Jackson Township, a brief notice stating the nature, duration, service and amount of the contract as set forth herein, and which further announces that the Resolution and contract shall be on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk of the Municipality in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i); and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. The Township hereby authorizes the award of a contract for Extraordinary Unspecifiable Services to the Rodgers Group, LLC.

TITLE: AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF POLICE UNIFORMS FROM ACTION UNIFORM CO., LLC FOR CY 2020 IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000.00

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety previously entered into an agreement with Action Uniform Co., LLC for the purchase of Police uniforms on an “as needed basis”; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq., the expenditures associated with the purchase of Police uniforms will cause the contract amount with Action Uniform Co., LLC to exceed $17,500.00 within a consecutive 12-month period; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists for this purpose in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 for CY 2020 under account #0-01-25-240-000-032; and
